London City Airport is a small airport in Southeast London in the borough of Newham. It has one runway that is only good for short takeoffs and landings meaning it only has the capacity for smaller aircraft. They also have noise restrictions in place which limits the types of planes that can use the airport.
London City Airport is the least busy of London’s five major airports. The terminal is small and close to London’s financial centre which means that its main use is for business travellers. It is also busy during the winter months flying passengers to ski resort destinations and to a nice hotel in London.
London City Airport offers free wireless internet (wifi) to its passengers as was the first London airport to do so.
