London City Airport is connected to the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) at the DLR station of the same name. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival into the airport at the DLR counter. The DLR departs the airport every 8 to 15 minutes.
The DLR is an East London light rail line and, while the DLR goes to Bank Station, it does not extend further into Central London. To continue on further into London, passengers must change to another form of transport, the easiest being the London Underground. Passengers can access the Jubilee Line from Canning Town station or at Bank Station they can choose between the Central, Northern, District, Circle or Waterloo and City Lines depending on their final destination.
Time: 7 minutes to Canning Town or 22 minutes to Bank.
Cost: Without an Oyster Card it is £4 for the DLR and another £4 for the Underground within zone one. With an Oyster Card it is £2.70 per fare during peak hour and 50p cheaper off peak.
